Welcome to the Letterbox page!
|
If you would like to be contacted by other readers and visitors please send an email to the webmaster by clicking on the icon below.
Before you do so please read the details below.
We would like to offer some advice when giving us your email to add to this site.
Firstly, all email addresses will be shown as an image in order to prevent/reduce the ability of the 'spam harvesters' from collecting your details in order to bombard you with spam mail which often contains deadly virus. This will mean that you will need to write the email address in your email editor instead of being able to just click on it and starting it automatically.
In this respect everyone should ensure they have the very best of security preferably including firewalls to help protect your computer and its data, very often containing a lot of sentimental details.
Secondly, before giving us your normal email address it may be more advisable to set up another email address for yourself from either MSN as Hotmail or Google as Gmail. This will also help towards protecting your normal email address . If you do find you are receiving spam email in Hotmail or Gmail you can at least delete that address and start a new one without major affect on your true address in the virtual world.
If you are unsure how to do this please drop us an email via the icon below and we will send you some very basic instructions to help get you started.
An additional piece of advice.
As a normal everyday rule you should never open up any email with attachments from someone you do not know, since it is possible these may contain either pornographic material or dangerous virus/worms/other damaging items! So a request to everyone, please, do not send any attachments to each other as no-one will be opening your mail! Always ask permission before sending pictures etc.
Finally.....
After all that, we do hope that the letterbox page will help readers and visitors from across the world to find each other and build new friendships as Derek and Jeannie hoped their books would!
Discussion Forum ~ You may have noticed we now have a discussion forum. It is open to both non-members and members. If you would like to talk with other like-minded people please feel free to join us there. |
